American Soldiers represent us when we need,
When liberty’s in jeopardy, and actions in-between.
Not calling in on weekends, and bills that go unpaid.
All in return for helping out our country’s desperate aid.
The guns and wars, the terror and fear.
Include the families with countless tears.
Who’ve lost their husbands, their wives, their child.
Just because evil people have riled.
Even the ones who come home safe and sound.
Are still surrounded by the pain around.
They’ve seen things only nightmares should be.
All their hard work left back in debris.
Just left alone, in pieces, in shreds.
Hoping some impact was made instead.
The soldiers that hold our country up high.
Deserve to leave and say goodbye.
So bring them home, with hugs and tears.
Take them away from the foreign fears.
