I HATE homework and tests. i think a lot of people will agree with me when i say that. I don’t appreciate all the projects we do because whenever we do, we get like 3 projects at the same time from different subjects. it stresses me out major. and then you don’t get free time to do what you really want to. at one point this year i had 5 different projects to do and all of them were due around the same time. i barely had time to eat dinner!! i think teachers should discuss with one another what they are doing before they suprise us with a gagillion things. and i think it frustrates me because before we get assigned the work, we enjoy a few days with no homework and i don’t know about you but i would rather have less work everyday than more work every few weeks. As for tests, i hate them even more because i always start to hyperventilate before i take one because they are HUGE part of your grade. yeah sure i try to do well on them but i get tension from them and too much tension is a cause of depression in teens. i try not to stress but i always do, and whenever i do, i get very cranky and snap at everyone. that is very unwise on my part because i say things i don’t mean to, but my people understand, they’ve been there and done that. well i think i gave you enough to read, and when i think of more i will be back!!

Like most of the Hayes student body I do not like homework. A lot of it is pointless and has no other use than to say that the teacher is giving us stuff to do. Take for example one of my projects for my current LA class. Every 2 weeks we have to do an “Active Reading” project. Basically we get to pick 10 questions to awnser from a book we recently read, or one that we can remember pretty well if we’re feeling lazy. Then each response has to be 100 words which finally makes a 1000 word total. I think this is pointless because we’re not learning anything. But oh well that’s not the most frustrating thing so far.
One of my teachers does NOT teach us anything. Sure s/he (not mentioning name o’ teacher) talks for about 1/3 of the hour but it there’s nothing really ummm…. informative in his/her lecture. Basically the whole class frustrates me. Recently we had to take our placement test for high school. On it was basic stuff like to too and 2, but there was also stuff about infinitives, gerunds, and particples. 3 days before the test we got a packet and were supposed to be able to learn everything form that. Well let me say that it didn’t go well.
So when the test finally came around everybody had no idea what to do for, I think, about 6 questions. This made me so mad because the teacher was not preparing us for high school at all.

p.s. besides that minor setback the rest of school is going pretty well.

Oh, I have frustration alright.
One of my teachers really isn’t doing the job that needs to be done. I am going to call this person Clyde to make it easier for me. Just an FYI: the teacher’s name is not Clyde, and Clyde is a guy’s and girl’s name (it’s a fact, look it up), so that way I’m not giving away the gender.
So here I go:
Clyde literally gives my class lectures every single day for the entire hour. We get nothing done. After 10 minutes, it’s extremely hard to keep listening. Clyde gets off topic so easily, too. It’s just a waste of everyone’s time! Plus, Clyde can’t control my class for Clyde’s life. No joke. Everyone does what they want, yelling and walking around all the time. We don’t even have a seating arrangement anymore. Clyde doesn’t care. No one sits in the right spot. The class is kind of divided. There’s the crazy obnoxious people on one side, and the people who want to get a good grade in a little section. Oh! And! Clyde gives way too much extra credit. I get 150/120 on a packet for no reason at all. It’s not right, especially because Clyde flunks 75% of the people in my class, and then gives the rest of us much, much more than 100%. I don’t really learn in Clyde’s class, too. Clyde also changes due dates for assignments all the time, and says that we get all the time in the world to finish it. I’ve stayed up until 5am finish my homework for that class. It’s absolutely dreadful.
Alright, I’m going to be done. I’ve said enough.
Au revoir (that’s “good-bye” in French),

Thanks, Aman, for keeping the blog interesting with your writing.
(Really, I should write a posting about how much I truly appreciate everyone being a part of this adventure! Look for that in the next couple of days.)

I think that ONE of the most frustrating thing that has happened to me at school was the behavior sheets for seventh grade. It gets annoying because the teachers keep on us about them and then when we don’t have them you have to be perfect the whole time. But that is not it. I just don’t like them because it is only a few of the kids out of the seventh grade that is causing the problem and everyone else is being held responsible because sometimes the good kids do talk and that will affect them someday. I just hope that these kids learn so we can get off this sheet. I don’t think it is doing anything. That is one of my most frustrating things that has happened at school. Hey Mr. M. do you have any tips for me for my blog?
I think the most frustrating thing about school is all the gossip. I can’t be totally ‘all the people who gossip should burn in heck’ because I honlestly gossip sometimes, but some of the things some people say are just sooo outrageous.
And sometimes all the projects can just get overwhelming.

Thank you Kaitlyn!!!
If I guessed right about who you were talking about then I can say that everything that Kaitlyn said about “Clyde” is true. I think that Clyde created the problem* itself. In the first month of school Clyde didn’t do or enforce anything. So now no one respects Clyde or Clyde’s class. Which is Clyde’s own fault, and it should’nt be my problem. But it is because Clyde isn’t accomplishing anything so when high school comes around all of his students will be at a big disadvantage becase they didn’t learn anything relevant.
