So, it has come to this. I am posting my first podcast/audiocast on this blog today. I am hoping to learn a great amount about creating such things in the near future.

You people have not let me down so far, so know that you are my guinea pig audience. I will count on you to give me honest feedback about how the podcast goes over time. Bear in mind that I will be doing these quite a bit with the new students (CO2014) during the year (most likely on my assignments page), but that should not stop you from letting me know in person or in a blog commentary, what I might consider doing to make the audiocasts better, yes? Good. Then we have a deal.

Yah! I love it! You definatley have made improvements on the blog.

And yes, woke up at 6ish to get Eclipse. I’m a dork, sue me.

HAley

YEAH!!! It’s sooooo great to hear your voice again!! I missed it so much!!! This podcast is such a great idea!!
Eclipse-The day has finally come. For a long time I’ve been asking my parents if we could go to either Target or Meijer (or someplace like that) at 5:00 am to get get the book before they’re all gone. Yeah, they wouldn’t even answer that question (probably because they have to wake up for work around 6am every day…and 5am is probably too early for them…anyways) I had no idea what to do with myself if I didn’t have the book early on the 7th (today). I asked my mom if I could have my grandparents take me, except they only buy food when they go shopping. Plus, they don’t really like being around people for a long period of time. They get what they need and go home to be with their dog (I’m not lying. My grandpa told me that almost exactly the way I typed it). So that was out of the question. My dad went to Meijer at 6am for this thing (forgot what), and I asked him if he could look for the book. It wasn’t there. Long story short, (well, not really) my mom got Eclipse after work at Target. I’m happy now!! The book is REALLY good so far!!
Extras- Okay, I noticed a couple mistakes you made in your speach. You said the auther was Scott WesterMAN. It’s Scott WesterFELD. Also, Extras doesn’t come out in early September. It’s early October (Oct. 2nd). I can’t wait!
School- I am one of those who are counting down until school. It’s not that I’m scared, but that I’m excited (you probably knew that though).
By the way, your podcast has really good sound quality. I can even hear the music in the backround (nice touch…if it was supposed to be heard).
Poetry Video- It’s cool that you might do that. Hopefully I won’t sound bad when it shows me. My pink, white, black, and gray shirt/shirts (I had three layers on) looked good though. That’s a bonus!!
I’ll pay a visit to that site, for sure.
Sorry I made this so long. With this blog I tend to type how I would actually say my response…not write it. I like it better that way. There’s more character and voice. With writing a graded story and stuff I feel like I can’t use as much of my actual voice. Okay, I think I should stop now before I get carried away. Oops…I already did that!! Bye!! See all of ya soon!!

Kaitlyn S.

Mr. Madden my computer is dead slow so I couldn’t here what you were saying with out listening for a second and then having silence for a couple of seconds and then it going back on. could you add like a subtiltey thingy.

Tess

School starts in less than a month. Is anyone-else’s brain dead?

Tess,

I understand your plight. I will work on doing a text-version, maybe a highlights kind of thing.

Hmmm…

-Mr. M

Tess- don’t remind me of the coming of school. It makes me sick. Rotfl. (No offense Mr. M!) The waking up early, 10 o’clock bedtimes (who obeys those any way?), homework, having a structured day, only having 2 days a week for “down-time,” AND still not being able to do what you want, when you want. Shesh. You don’t relize how much you love something until it arrives, and leaves without a warning. *Ah, summer*

And Kaitlyn- Just finished Eclipse. I have to disagree with you… My favorites are 1, 3, and then 2. She ends up with who I want her to be with, so I’m good with that!

Enjoy summer (since it’s almost gone)

P.S. There are 237 days until spring break. Now that Eclipse is done with- I need SOMETHING to look forward too… ;-) To continue the countdown- look at my aim page. (Like Kaitlyns, click my name to see)

Haley,

I totally disagree with you. My favorites go from 1, 2, and then 3. I don’t want to say too much about why I feel that way, so I guess we’ll have to talk about it another time…now that you’ve read the whole thing. Talk to you later Haley!!

Kaitlyn S.
P.S. Last night I stayed up until 2:00am just because I couldn’t find a good book to read. I ended up finding a short little book than I could easily finish in a couple hours (nonstop), but it’ll probably take two weeks (becuase it’s not as good as one of Stephenie Meyer’s books).

Kaitlyn,

You are in that “Now what I do read?” stage where you probably look at books and already know they won’t be as good as a S. Meyer book.

Being the creative person (people) that you are , you may have already thought of this, but, if you search for a book on Amazon.com, the engine will give you ideas for books of similar genre, or what other Meyer fans are reading/buying. Also, there exists an article about the author at Wikipedia you may find interesting, as well as a blog called Twilight Lexicon.

These may not satisfy your hunger for more Meyer, but you just never know…

-Mr. M

Mr. Madden,

I’ve already done all of those things, but thanks anyway. My mom doesn’t like to buy so many books for me because I read them so fast (when they’re good). I’ve seen many good books on amazon that seem good enough to get me by. The only way I’ll most likely be able to get them is by paying for them myself. I can’t though because right now I’m having to pay $150 for my iPod (the deadline is by my birthday) and $15 of my $35 backpack. Plus, I would like to have some extra money left just in case I have to pay for something else soon (which will most likely happen). I guess I’ll have to find a way to get my mom and dad to understand that I am taking my time with books. I remember every part of the good ones. They are good for me.

(Sigh…)Good Bye,
Kaitlyn S.

I love the Twilight Lexicon! I use it all the time- it’s updated so often!

Mr. M- I’ll return your books (Twilight and New Moon) on September 4th that you let me borrow… THANKS FOR LETTING ME USE THEM! Have YOU read Eclipse?

Mr. Madden,

I thought that the podcast was really great. Ummmmm……. I don’t know what else to say….

About Eclispe,

I am in the middle of rereading New Moon and it is nerve-racking when your are trying to read and your sister is laughing from across the room at all the ‘funny’ parts in Eclispe. It makes me want to just skip some parts of New Moon…… but I won’t!

I have to say that New Moon is not my favorite because one of the main characters (his name is Jacob)bothers me. I don’t know just the fact that he is so young….. He is growing on me though after reading it again!
Got to go!

Delanie

Delanie, I have too TOTALLY Agree! I don’t like Jacob. I’m on Team Edward. I don’t like Jacob, Edward and Bella belong together and he’s just in the way.

When I was finshed with Eclipse… I was in the wierdest state of mind. Until this afternoon, I- I- I don’t even know. It was so wierd. Delanie when you finish- tell me if it had the same effect.

Since we’re all on the Stephenie Meyer train right now, it’s story time! When I was at the movie earlier today seeing Rush Hour 3, and I went to refill my popcorn. When I got to the counter I heard (I call him Streach- he’s SUPER tall) talking to one of the other employees. He was saying things like “We’ll the vampire and the werewolfs go head-to-head,” and “It’s not as good as the first one, but better then second…” So I was like, “Are you talking about the TWILIGHT SERIES!?!?” Then the employee Stretch was talking to, was like “Yea, how’d you know?” Then she left (she hadn’t read Eclipse yet) and Stretch and I were talking about the third book. I ended up missing almost 25 minutes of the movie… Oops!

Anyway… 236 days now until spring break. Exilerating- isn’t it?

I just finished New Moon like, 5 seconds ago, and when I am done writing this, I am going right back up to my room!

Another reason this Jacob person bothers me is because he is like 8 feet tall!(Or at least they make him seem that tall)
Bye bye!

Delanie

I liked Jacob in Twilight when he was a little kid…

Delanie,

I feel the exact same abotu Jacob Black. I know some people don’t like it when someone says that they hate someone else but…I hate Jacob!!

Kaitlyn S.

Yeah, I agree Haley, I liked Jacob better when he was a tiny bug on the windsheild.

I HATE(oops, strongly dislike) JACOB BLACK TOO!

Delanie

He’s an imaginanry friend. Your aloud to hate people who don’t exist. Delanie, Kaityln, I vote we start a TEAM EDWARD club. Haha…

Haley

D:
My sister Natalie wants to voice her opinion…

N:
HOW CAN YOU NOT LIKE JACOB!?!?!!!
Don’t get me wrong Edward and Bella should be together, but Jacob is so sweet! I know its annoying how he’s trying to break them up, but as a person…I love him! Can you imagine comming home and exploding into a werewolf?

So in the end, he can’t be with Bella but he’s a great friend, he fixed her when Edward broke her. Without him maybe that jump off the cliff wouldn’t have been for fun???

Most of you will disagree with me, but I, Natalie, sister of Delanie, am a Jacob fan. Like Bella, there is room for both in my heart!

D:
She’s insane but she’s my sister!

(gotta love her)
Delanie (and Natalie)

That is great idea Haley….I have to get back to Eclispe.. i am at an intense part!

Delanie

Mr. Madden,

What can I say…………..the podcast was AWESOME!! It is nice to hear your voice again!! :-)

When you talked about putting the videos of the people reading poetry it reminded me of when Alexis Skinner and I read ” Take Me Out To The Ball Game” in front of the whole class………….except we SANG it!! That was SO embarrassing because we did a HORRIBLE job! All though whe you look back on it, it was pretty fun!!

Good times in your class, GOOD TIMES!!! ;-)

*Ashley*

When are you going to make a new podcast?

I think you should make a SKYPE.com (i think that’s what it is….) account, check it out. It’s like a podcast/ recording website but other people who have SKYPE (Once again- I think…) accounts can do things like leave voicemails and recordings. It’s really cool. Then you can edit those recorded messages into the podcast. I’m honestly not positive how you do it… but I’ve heard and seen people do it, so I know it’s possible.
