If I had a crystal ball…

The question that Haley had about continuing the blog into your (Class of 2013) 7th grade year is a good one. Here is my tentative (so far) plan: I would like to create a MadWords Alumni blog page for you to grace with your thoughts in writing.

I am unsure about how this would look, but most likely it would involve you coming to this blog, clicking on the Alumni page, and writing comments to me and others as you have been doing since I began the blog back in April.

I do not know if any of your “new” 7th grade teachers will be maintaining a blog, (you might want to encourage them by letting them know how easy it is to create and run, and how much you people like to comment on things inside and outside the Hayes world), but I would like to give you the opportunity to continue to express yourselves here (and in any 7th grade blog as well!).

So, as long as I am running it, and unless things change dramatically, my blog will have a place for former students (alumni). Which means that I had better hear from you when you are in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 25th grades! Yes?

I am open to suggestions, by the way, for designing such an alumni blog page. The more, the merrier.

I do not have any ideas on the whole blog thingy but I want to write a response so that you(Mr. Madden) wasn’t think I forgot to look at your posting!

Delanie :)

Delanie,

I never doubted you for an instant. I guess what I am trying to figure out is if there is enough interest in a blog for my former students (alumni). If people would be interested in continuing the MadWords blog during your 7th (wow) grade school year, let me know. And this includes those peeps that come and read but don’t choose to comment.

I would be more than happy to keep it (blog) going and hear how your year(s) are growing, but do let me know.

Of course I want you to keep the blog for us!! I was wondering the same thing as Haley even when we were still in sixth grade. I look at this blog about 3 or 4 times everyday to see if there are any new comment or postings!! Plus we all still can be in contact with you when we’re in high school and can’t stop by your classroom to say hi. I guess that’s all for now.

P.S. Eclipse is coming out TOMORROW!!

I like the idea. But are your new sixth graders going to join the alumni page once they finish sixth grade… or is there a page per year…
Class of 2013…
Class of 2014…
Class of 2015…
Class of 2016…
etc.

Ohhhhhhhh! I see. Of corse. I think that keeping the blog running is a fabulous idea. I know I would keep visting it daily.

Delanie

I think it would be cool if you post a post (is that right) and where the #of comments is you could put the year of graduation for all of your students and then you could make a page for all students to comment
